The press conference for the eighth "National Science and Technology Workers' Day" was held in the afternoon of May 23 at the China Hall of Science and Technology in Beijing. Let's take a look at the exciting activities planned for this year.

The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) hosted the main event celebrating National Science and Technology Workers' Day and the inaugural exhibition of the National Museum for Modern Chinese Scientist at the National Science Communication Center, in the Cultural Complex Area of the Beijing Olympic Center on May 30.

As the world's first national museum dedicated to scientists, the National Museum for Modern Chinese Scientist aims to showcase the images of Chinese scientists, and create a spiritual sanctuary for science and technology workers.

The inaugural exhibition includes one main exhibition and five special exhibitions, covering a total area of 5,000 square meters.

In the evening of May 30, an online themed program titled "Singing the Spirit of Scientists" will be presented at the CCTV website.

This program, through unique perspectives and presentation formats, will highlight the glorious journey of China's scientific development and the profound spirit of scientists.

Additionally, in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, CAST has cultivated, selected, and recommended a series of outstanding scientist story stage plays.

National academic societies and local science associations will also organize science volunteers to conduct diverse science volunteer service activities in areas such as agricultural industry development, science education, and mental health, reaching out to rural fields and communities.

Various levels of government bodies will visit and extend holiday greetings to renowned veteran scientists and frontline science and technology workers, expressing their appreciation for their contributions.
